    Novo Surgical’s Example Carotid Clamp is designed for use in cardiothoracic surgeries. This clamp is designed to clamp and secure the carotid vessels to reduce or completely occlude blood flow. This is done in surgery to prevent the patients form losing an excessive amount of blood as well as allow the surgeon to operate and have the field remain clear for optimal visibility. This instrument features curved shanks as well as a long thin jaw making this well suited for its function.
